The Turan I is a finely detailed model designed by Bergman, representing the Hungarian medium tank from WWII. Known for its balance of mobility and firepower, this model is perfect for wargaming scenarios involving mid-war armored engagements and support roles.
The Turan I was introduced in 1942, based on a modified version of the Czech Škoda T-21 prototype. It was armed with a 40mm gun and had moderate armor, making it suitable for infantry support and light anti-tank duties. Deployed by Hungarian forces on the Eastern Front, the Turan I proved effective early on but was soon outclassed by more heavily armored Soviet tanks as the war progressed. Despite its limitations, it played a crucial role in Hungary’s armored divisions.
