This 3D-printed model by 3D Breed represents a Regio Esercito Anti-Tank Rifle Team, designed for World War II tabletop wargaming. It’s a dedicated support unit for countering enemy armor and fortifications at the squad level.
 
The Regio Esercito used anti-tank rifle teams to give infantry a fighting chance against the growing threat of armored vehicles. Among the weapons employed was the Solothurn S-18/1000, a Swiss-designed, large-caliber semi-automatic rifle capable of penetrating early-war tank armor and light vehicles. Though these weapons became less effective as enemy armor improved, they remained valuable for targeting reconnaissance vehicles, gun emplacements, and lightly protected positions. Operating in pairs or small crews, AT rifle teams played a vital role in delaying enemy advances and protecting vulnerable infantry formations across diverse theaters from the deserts of North Africa to the steppes of the Eastern Front.
