The Panzer III Flamm, also known as the Flammpanzer III, was a flamethrower-equipped variant of the Panzer III medium tank. Introduced in 1943, it was designed to engage enemy fortifications and infantry by using a flamethrower in place of the main gun. The Flammpanzer III saw action on the Eastern Front, where it was used to clear bunkers, trenches, and other fortified positions. The vehicle retained the hull and chassis of the Panzer III but featured a flamethrower with a range of about 60 meters, supported by a coaxial machine gun.
