Introducing the exquisitely detailed Panzer 38(t) Ausf. A model, designed by Bergman. This 15mm scale miniature captures the essence of one of World War II's most versatile and widely used tanks, meticulously recreated for historical wargamers and military model enthusiasts.
The Panzer 38(t), originally developed by the Czechoslovakian company ČKD as the LT vz. 38, was adopted by the German Wehrmacht following their occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. Known for its reliability and effectiveness, the Panzer 38(t) saw extensive service during the early years of World War II, particularly during the invasions of Poland, France, and the Soviet Union. The "t" in its designation stands for "tschechisch," meaning "Czech" in German, reflecting its origins.
The Ausf. A variant was the initial production model, featuring a 37mm KwK 38(t) L/47.8 gun, supplemented by two 7.92mm MG 37(t) machine guns. Its robust chassis and reliable performance made it a valuable asset to German armored divisions.
