The Numidian Cavalry was a pivotal force in ancient warfare, renowned for their unmatched mobility and ability to disrupt enemy formations. Hailing from the Numidian tribes of North Africa, these riders were lightly equipped, often without saddles or bridles, relying on their deep bond with their horses to achieve incredible control. Armed with javelins and small shields, they excelled in skirmishing tactics, darting in to attack and retreating before retaliation. Their skill and effectiveness made them highly sought after, notably serving Hannibal during the Punic Wars and later as auxiliaries in Roman armies.
