The CV35M tankette, also known as the L3/35, is Italian. It was developed by the Italian firm Ansaldo in the early 1930s and used by the Italian Army before and during World War II. The Hungarian CV35M tankette is a license-built version of the Italian CV35M (L3/35) tankette. Hungary acquired the design from Italy and produced it domestically under license. In Hungary, it was known as the 35M Ansaldo. The Hungarian version was similar to the original Italian design and was used by the Hungarian Army during World War II.
